Tour & Tasting at The Cultured Abalone Farm May 16

Our most anticipated event is back! First, enjoy a 1.5 hour walking tour of The Cultured Abalone Farm guided by an abalone farmer. During your tour, you’ll experience the entire process of raising abalone, from hatchery to harvest, up close and personal (yes, you can hold the abalone!). Along the way, you’ll learn about seaweed culturing and urchin ranching as well. After your tour, enjoy abalone prepared by Chef Paul Osborne of Santa Barbara Fish Market paired with rice and seaweed salad. Pair your abalone with wine tastings poured by local winemakers, (featured winemakers TBA).
A portion of the proceeds from this will benefit the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.
